Introduction

This privacy policy explains how Gloe Health ("we," "our," or "us") handles information in connection with the Gloe mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

We do not collect, store, or process any personal health information. All your health data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Data Collection and Use

Gloe Health does not collect any personal health information. All data you enter (username, profile information, health data, goals, and preferences) is stored exclusively on your iOS device. We have no access to your data.

iCloud Synchronization

If you enable iCloud, your personal health information will be synchronized between your Apple devices. This synchronization is entirely optional and controlled by you. Apple manages the security of this data according to their own privacy policies. You can disable iCloud sync at any time.

HealthKit Integration

If you authorize access to HealthKit, the application can import your weight and blood glucose data from Apple's Health app, and export your dose data to it. This integration is entirely optional and controlled by you. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your device settings.

Disclosure of Personal Health Information

We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal health information to third parties. Your health information remains private and never leaves your Apple ecosystem. We have no access to any of your data. The only exception is if required by law, in which case we would notify you unless legally prohibited from doing so.

Customer Support

When you contact us for support (bug reports, suggestions), we receive only the content of your message, your email address (if provided), and basic technical information (app version, iOS). This data is used only to respond to you and is not linked to your health data stored in the app.

Your Rights Under PIPEDA

In accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal health information. You can export, modify, or delete all your data directly from the application. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Data Retention

Your personal health information is retained only on your device. If you delete the application, all your data is permanently deleted. If you disable iCloud, your data remains on the local device but is no longer synchronized. We do not retain any copies of your data on our systems.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
